Healthy living

Tips, advice about staying healthy and sound.

It turns out that anything we feel or do has a huge impact on our bodies. This is why it’s very important to remember, that the main and most important cosmetic we use (which is 100% organic! ) is our mind. Believing in ourselves and trusting in ourselves is the first step we should take before combining with the nature.

Tell me, does any of you practise yoga? If so, what type of yoga is your favourite one, and why? Obviously, it depends on my mood: when I’m tired I just linger for hatha yoga and metidation but in general, I must admit I really love ashtanga yoga, it makes me feel so tired yet composed.

Well, I don’t practice yoga. I practice Taichi Chuan, the Taichi Chuan Cheng Man Ching taught in the USA. In fact I follow the teachings by Wolf Lowenthal, Chen Man Chin’s student. I practice it with a Wolf Lowenthal’s student in Spain. I love it. It has changed my position and made me conscious of some parts of my body that were slept or I couldn’t recognize in my own body. The philosophy is just great. It works in accordance with law of gravity and its philosophy is absolutely great. If you want I can tell you how Taichi Chuan show you as you are, you must face your fear and the books by Cheng Man Ching and Wolf Lowenthal are really inspirational. It is about keeping balance, inner balance and keep your peace even in front of your enemies. About peace and about working in accordance with nature. If you want I can let you know more about this wonderful taichi. It is important to get into contact with Taichi Chuan as there are many sites in which you can find taichi mixed with esoteric concepts and so… and that’s not the taichi chuan I refer.

I got into contact with Taichi Chuan about two years ago. At that time, I had been without sleeping properly for 8 months. A neighbour had a clock and it would strike hours at 43 decibels. It was imposible to catch some sleep and in spite of all my entrities she kind of enjoyed the power to have in her hands my family and myself’s sleep. She ignored the Council Sentence, the lawyers advices… It was a nightmare, a hell. I could understand why sleep depriving is a torture. So we had to go the Court. In the meanwhile and after that time without sleeping but each half and hour. I got ill and I weakenend. Plus medical attention I felt I was in need of something else. I felt I needed an alternative therapy, something that could give me back balance, inner balance and strength. I was physically exhausted and emotionally drained. Then Taichi came to my mind. I don’t know why. I browsed in the net and I found a lot of sites where some info was given. Some sites looked too much esoteric, mixed taichi with mythology, superstitions and cultural traditions…and finally I distinguished Taichi Chuan long river. I looked for a headquaters in my city in Spain and fortunately enough a new Taichi Chuan School was looking for students an a headquater to establish in my city. So it was kind of perfect. I emailed the teacher –he doesn’t like to be named Sensai- and I talked to him to get it off my chest. He told me that I could get my energy back by practicing Taichi and yes, it was true. He introduced me to Chen Man Ching and his life and philosophy through his talk and books by Chen Man Ching.
My body changed and it is still changing. I used to walk with a stoop and I was kind of round- shouldered. All my body reflected my pshycological burdens. So a day I felt that my back was getting straight and my shoulders were going backward in a more open posture. After every session I can feel a kind of vital energy, an state of mind and an inner strength and balance that I had never felt before.
A funny thing. I don’t know if you have ever felt this. I realized that I hadn’t been able to feel some parts of my body. Hahah. It was like I could find my body progressively. I am learning how to apply the physical Taichi to daily life. I am looking for a inner structural balance and then an inner pshycological balance. That’s the aim. I love the approach of Taichi to conficts by keeping smooth and relaxed and face your own fears. I love the books by Wolf Lowenthal and Chen Man Ching you can find in Amazon. Hope it helps.

Thanks so much for sharing Miriam! I encourage eveyrone to write their experiences with all sort of activities like these!

I still linger for trying Tai Chi as I have heard, and also you’ve proved it, that it not only heals your body but also your soul. It’s very important to be aware of your body and each muscule, as it helps you in everyday life. It also makes us more confident and healthy.
